I’m going to deviate from my usual bicycle-centric post just because I came across two quotations that really hit me this morning:

I guess of late I’ve been noticing how easy it is to look around at other people’s lives and wonder why everything is so perfect for them and not for me? We all do it…and truthfully, social media sites like Facebook don’t help…I actually avoid FB as much as possible because of that reason. Kovas is reading a book called Happiness is a Serious Problem by Dennis Prager and has been keeping me informed about the content. I’ll read it myself, but for now I’m enjoying the synopses. Something he mentioned that made me really stop and think was a discussion about what kind of a difference would it make in our relationships if we were honest with others about what is really going on in our lives? Maybe we would learn that our friend’s (or neighbor’s, or cousin’s…) life is just as complicated and roller-coastery…
Not that this is all that profound, but somehow it made me feel better.
